“Local Color” at the Bedford Free Public Library

Anyone living or working in the Bedford area is invited to submit artwork to “Local Color,” the Bedford Free Public Library’s upcoming juried community show, taking place November 2025 through January 2026 (specific dates to follow). Art or craft in any medium is eligible. Entrants must be at least 18 years old.

The juror will be Rachel Passannante, assistant director and collections manager at the Danforth Art Museum. Watch for the application and more information on the library’s website, bedfordlibrary.net.

Annual Juried Members’ Exhibition 2025 at the Brush Art Gallery and Studios

There is no required theme for The Brush’s upcoming Annual Juried Members’ Exhibition 2025, which welcomes artwork in any medium by up-to-date members of the Brush Art Gallery & Studios and members of the New England Sculptors’ Association. The $25 entry fee covers up to three pieces. Small works are encouraged for this holiday-season event since they make good gifts. The jurors will be Michael Conway, board member of Whistler House Museum of Art and the Merrimack Repertory Theatre, and Carolyn Walsh, former board member for The Brush. Submissions are by digital images, and the deadline for entry is Friday, October 17, 4:00 p.m. The exhibition will run from November 8 to December 24.  “Exploring the World of Fibers 2026” at the Lexington Arts and Crafts Society

 “Exploring the World of Fibers 2026” will survey the broad body of work being created by regional fiber artists and traditional and contemporary weavers. The show will be juried by Paula B. Richter of the Peabody Essex Museum. The deadline for submissions is Friday, November 21. The exhibit will be on view in LexArt’s Molly Harding Nye Gallery from January 10 through February 1.
